How did you become a photographer?

So imagine me, at 14, standing in the middle of the Newseum in Washington D.C. staring at all of the Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs on the walls and getting WAY too emotional in public. For me, this place was a discovery of new ideas, new cultures, and new perspectives. I was drawn to the possibilities and stories that these photos brought to life before my eyes. It amazed me to see how a photograph could tell a story without using a single word while simultaneously depicting both truth and reality. It was at that point I realized I wanted to be a photographer, that I wanted to tell stories through art, be the one behind the camera, documenting a moment that could have a profound effect on others just as my experience had on me. So, naturally I got my first camera (Canon Rebel xsi) in a back alley shop (you know, the kind on Canal Street where they pull products from the ceiling) and began what is now my career. For the first two years, I spent a lot of time reading user manuals, and I mean a LOT of time...trial and error became my best friend. Then, at 18, I was asked to shoot my first wedding. And from there, seriously by the grace of God and word of mouth, I began booking more and more weddings, and thus here we are!

What is your approach?

My goal as a photographer is to capture raw emotion, to document what rings true to me, and more importantly what I believe will ring true to you. I want to tell stories through my work, and not just any story, but your story. I’m about people. I’m about connections. I’m about good vibes and positivity, and I want my clients to feel the same. Let me show you just how captivating you truly are.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

HECK YES!! I’ve been to Europe, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and all over the United States; all places that have influenced me both personally and professionally...and when I get to work and travel at the same time, I’m in heaven!  

HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN WE EXPECT FROM OUR WEDDING?

You can expect at least 650 fully edited images from the day of. I choose and curate a collection of images from your wedding day that I believe tell your story as a whole!

WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

Someone who likes to have a hell of a good time. Someone that is full of love, has a zeal for life, and isn’t afraid of breaking a few rules (i.e. trespassing, driving 5 mph over the speed limit, stealing condiments) It’s the person who sees the beauty in storytelling. It’s the person who cares more about the relationships made and who they’re with rather than where they are. If you desire to have your story told through images that are meaningful and truthful, and you want to gain a friend in the process, then you’re my client. Plain and simple.
